I’ve been planning on building a life-size replica of Voltron for years now. Heck, I’d even started scouting locations! No point in that now the industrious Japanese are building their own life-size giant robot:
The only thing I can fault them for is not doing this sooner. Let’s be honest, we’ve ALL been expecting it. Thanks a lot, Japan, for making me look like an idiot.

The other day I had the clever idea of rearranging all of the many iPhone apps that use a button icon with a single letter into an alphabet. I’ll take a screen shot. Put it on flickr. And people will say, man, that person is clever.
Six letters in, I got the feeling in my gut that someone out there’s done it already. Someone smarter with a name like Matthias. Sure enough Matez.de takes it a step further with a nice little display with links to more information about the software. Plus, the buttons cycle through all the apps that share a letter. Like Google, Goodguide, Gigotron, Groundwork, and Grocophile. Next up for Matthias: The iPhone App Logo Zoo.

For the inaugural I-was-gonna-do-that gripe, we’ve found something special. Special, because someone did something that we were totally going to do. Like, totally. It was planned. In the pipeline, ready to go, just as soon as we finished the Jay Z vs Christian Bale album.
Israeli Youtuber, Kutiman, just released his first album, Thru You, spliced entirely from Youtube videos. The music stands well on its own, but with the clever gimmick, its magic. Magic stolen from the subliminal depths of our minds.
We would have had more chimpanzees on Segways in ours, but not bad Kutiman, not bad.
